Vladimir Lugo
Advisor, information technology professional, author, speaker, and minister by vocation who provides assistance to Christian organizations in adopting ministry technologies in order to unleash the power of their mission.
As an information technology professional, he has more than twenty-five years of experience. He has developed deep expertise in information systems and has helped many institutions align their use of technology with their strategic plans.
As a minister by vocation, he has served the Christian community for more than thirty years in ministry, understanding his calling as that of an educator and mentor. He adopted computerized Bible study programs early on, as well as social networks, blogs, and electronic applications for teaching and learning. He has assisted several ministries in implementing administrative systems, productivity tools, and an Internet presence.
He studied Chemical Engineering in his native country, Venezuela, and graduated with a Master of Divinity from the Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, with a concentration in Intercultural Studies. In addition, he is a certified specialist in several Oracle technologies and a certified cloud solutions architect for both Oracle and Amazon Web Services.
He worked for 13 years at Loyola Marymount University, where he was responsible for the software infrastructure of all administrative systems—which is a technical way of saying that if it had a database and a web server, he was responsible for it.
He later worked for Ellucian, a company that provides software solutions for close to three thousand universities and colleges, helping migrate those systems to the public cloud before forming his own companies: the IT consulting firm, Tepui Cloud, and content development company, Tepui Media, where he currently works.
